Check out our favorite low-carb and keto kitchen must haves that we use on a regular basis to make low-carb dishes, sweet treats or drinks!

With holiday sales and gift-giving right around the corner, we've rounded up our favorite low-carb and keto kitchen essentials and gadgets. We use many of these kitchen gadgets on a regular basis and wouldn't want to go without them.
Of course, what is considered "essential" for some (like a digital meat thermometer for us), may not be essential for others. Some keto gadgets on this list are for making sweet treats or for day-to-day cooking, while others are simply convenient.
We think there's a little something for everyone in this list. These kitchen gadgets can serve as wonderful gifts and are ideal if you can snag them on sale!

Digital Meat Thermometer

When you live a low-carb lifestyle your diet typically includes meat or seafood. And to cook the meat or seafood to the right temperature, it's ideal to use an instant read digital thermometer. Our favorite digital thermometer is this quick and reliable Thermapen One by ThermoWorks. We use this nearly everyday. It's not available on Amazon, so you need to buy it directly from the manufacturer (see link above). Their customer service is top notch, so if you ever have issues, they'll handle them well.
Ninja CREAMi

The Ninja Creami makes it possible to create delicious keto-friendly, low-calorie, high-protein, dairy-free and sugar-free ice cream. Ice cream is easy to make in the Ninja Creami and it turns out wonderfully delicious and creamy. Be sure to check out our Ninja CREAMi recipes.
Digital Kitchen Scale

We use this scale not only for baking or when making ice cream, but also for everyday cooking since we measure and count carbs. This scale by Escali is highly recommended and easy to use. However, we also have an additional precision scale that can measure weights to down to 0.01g. This is important for ingredients like spices or ice cream emulsifiers like guar gum where a tiny amount goes a long way.
Rimmed Sheet Pan with Rack

Sheet pan meals are one of the easiest ways to prepare an entire meal. Most sheet pan meals simply involve preparing the meat or seafood with some sort of seasoning and chopping some veggies. Prep time is usually no more than 10 minutes. Then everything goes on a sheet pan to bake and it’s done. We recommend getting a sheet pan with a rack for various recipes.
Dash Waffle Maker

You need a Dash waffle maker for making chaffles (keto waffles)! We still love making chaffles around here, which are simply made with eggs, cheese and a waffle maker. One of our favorite weekend breakfasts are these breakfast chaffles with sweetened yogurt and strawberries. But, there are so many more yummy, quick and easy chaffle recipes out there.
Everyday, Non-Stick Fry Pan

We use this non-stick fry pan from ScanPan almost everyday. It's one of the best non-stick pans in the market and you can use it for just about anything. It's good for searing, braising, deglazing, and you can even use it in the oven. Even though it says you can wash it in the dishwasher, we wash it by hand to preserve the integrity of it.
Air Fryer

What did we do before the air fryer? Seriously, the air fryer is a game changer in terms of daily cooking. It heats faster than an oven, creates crispier, healthier dishes, and is great for making individual or two-person meals. It's a must have for making chicken wings, keto chicken tenders, zucchini fries and more. This air-fryer by COSORI is one of the best, budget-friendly air fryers on the market.
SodaStream

Homemade bubbly water is the way to go! Without a SodaStream, store-bought bubbly water can get expensive, especially when you drink 2 or 3 cans a day. We think homemade bubbly tastes just as good, if not better, than store-bought bubbly water. Plus, it's easy to make, creates less waste and you know exactly what you're getting in terms of ingredients.
Dash Rapid Egg Cooker

Eggs are an ideal low-carb breakfast and this gadget is all about convenience. This egg cooker is simple to use and it makes perfect hard boiled eggs in just a few simple steps. You can make 6 hard boiled eggs at once, so you can refrigerate whatever you don't use. It's great for take-and-go breakfasts or other recipes like Masala-ish Egg Salad and Mediterranean Breakfast Bowl.
Blender

A blender is a must-have for blending ingredients and making low-carb, protein drinks, smoothies, soups and more. Which blender you get really depends on your needs. We have several blenders at home including the Magic Bullet, Nutribullet, and Vitamix One.
- The Magic Bullet is an affordable entry-level blender, but it lacks the power and capacity of other blenders. We typically use it for blending liquids and softer ingredients like preparing Ninja Creami bases and chopping vegetables. We've managed to get it to crush ice and make smoothies but it will take multiple passes but with less smooth texture.
- The Nutribullet (of which there are multiple models) is a decent midrange blender. We use it daily for crushing ice and other ingredients into tasty smoothies. The only task it's really let us down is when blending ice and frozen fruit into "nice cream" for which it does not match the power of the Vitamix One. We got ours for a decent price Costco.
- The Vitamix One is the most affordable of the premium Vitamix blender line. Unless you are a blender fiend or are trying to make nice cream, it may be overkill.
