If you're looking for the best crab dipping sauces, you've come to the right place! Here is our garlic butter sauce with red pepper flakes, which is made with butter, garlic and red pepper flakes. It's delicious!

Garlic butter is a classic butter sauce for dipping for crab, lobster, shrimp, or even mussels. To spice it up, we’ve added red pepper flakes to give it a little heat.
This spicy red pepper butter sauce is made with garlic, red pepper flakes and clarified butter. You can make it as spicy as you want or even not at all — it's up to you.
It's normal for the garlic and the red pepper to settle at the bottom, so you'll want to dip your crab meat deep into the butter to get all the flavor.

Ingredients

Just 4 simple ingredients in this butter sauce! Without the red pepper flakes, this is a simple garlic butter sauce.
Butter: If you're serving several pounds of crab, we recommend using a half cup of butter as in this recipe.
Red pepper flakes: Red pepper flakes add some heat to the sauce. We use a teaspoon of red pepper flakes, which is not too spicy, but you can use more or less to taste.
Garlic: We use just a few cloves of minced garlic, but you can add more if you like.
Lemon: We love adding a little lemon juice since it brightens the sauce!
How To Make
Step 1: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté minced garlic with a tablespoon of the butter.
Step 2: As soon as it becomes fragrant (about 30 seconds — be careful not to brown), remove from heat and stir in the lemon and the red pepper flakes. Then, pour into a serving bowl.

Step 3: In that same pan over medium heat, add the rest of the butter and heat it until it melts.
Step 4 & 5: Turn off the heat and use a spoon to skim off the white solids from the surface of the butter until it's clear.
Step 6: Pour the clarified butter into the serving bowl with the garlic and red pepper flakes. Stir and serve immediately.
