This low-carb, Ninja Creami strawberry blackberry sorbet is sure to please since it's deliciously fruity, light and refreshing, and easy to make!

Summer is nearly here, and we're starting to get strawberries in our CSA distribution! And we can't think of a better way to kick off summer than with this low-carb, Ninja Creami strawberry blackberry sorbet.
Even though this recipe uses a combination of strawberries and blackberries, the strawberry flavor powers through in this sorbet. Of course we love the strawberry flavor, but the blackberries add a refreshing tartness to the sorbet that we really enjoy. And it comes together as a sweet yet slightly tart strawberry-tasting sorbet that's low in carbs.
To keep the carbs low, we use a greater quantity of blackberries since blackberries are a lower in natural sugar than strawberries. However, we still use a decent amount of strawberries so the strawberry flavor can shine through. We also include alternative sweetener (powdered erythritol), to make the sorbet sweeter. However, you can use any sweetener of choice.
And since this Ninja Creami sorbet is just 3 ingredients, it's a breeze to make! Give it try and let us know what you think!

Ingredients

Fresh, organic strawberries: We recommend purchasing organic strawberries since non-organic strawberries are exposed to a high level of pesticides. You can use frozen organic strawberries, just be sure to thaw and drain before using.
Fresh, organic blackberries: We also recommend getting organic blueberries since non-organic blackberries are exposed to pesticides. You can use frozen organic blackberries, just be sure to thaw and drain before using.
Powdered erythritol: We use Swerve Confectioners Sweetener, but you can use another sweetener of choice. Just be sure to check a sweetener conversion chart.
How to Make
STEP 1: Place a fine mesh strainer over a large bowl. Add rinsed blackberries to the strainer and press on them with the back of a large spoon or spatula through the strainer to remove the seeds. Discard leftover seeds in the strainer
STEP 2: Add strained blackberries, strawberries and powdered erythritol in a blender. Blend until smooth.

STEP 3: Pour the blended mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container and place in the freezer. Let freeze for at least 24 hours.
Step 4: Install the Creami paddle into the outer bowl lid, place the lid on the outer bowl and lock into place according to the instructions in the Creami manual. Select the Lite Ice Cream mode, and it will spin for several minutes.

Step 5: When the Cremi stops spinning, take the container out and assess the consistency of the sorbet. If it’s powdery in texture, then add 1 teaspoon of water and place the pint back into the Creami and select respin.
STEP 6: Remove container and serve immediately.

STORING THE SORBET
Sorbet made by the Ninja Creami is best when eaten immediately. If you have leftovers, simply store in the freezer and serve when desired. You may need to let it thaw slightly for a few minutes but there is no need to respin this sorbet before serving left overs.
