Searching for the best sugar-free, keto jelly or low-carb jam? We've got you covered! Here is a ranking of the best sugar-free, ketogenic and low-carb jams, jellies and preserves that you can buy based on taste, ingredients, carbs, and price.
Since regular jams and jellies are high in sugar and carbs, they're typically off limits for those on a low-carb, sugar-free or keto diet. For example, one tablespoon of Smucker's strawberry jam is 13 grams of carbs, and the majority of those carbs (12 grams) come from sugar.
Thankfully, there are several sugar-free jellies that you can buy online or at grocery stores. Of course, not all sugar-free and keto jellies and jams are equal — some are better than others in terms of taste and ingredients.
To help identify the best sugar-free and keto jams and jellies, we conducted a taste test of 9 different brands. We assessed the jams and jellies by ingredients, taste, net carbs, and price. Since taste is a bit tricky to assess (as we all have different tastes), we've included Amazon customer ratings and some customer comments in addition to our own.
We hope this information eliminates the guesswork when deciding which sugar-free or keto jam or jellies to buy online or at the store!

Nature's Hollow Sugar-Free Mountain Berry Jam Preserve is our favorite sugar-free and ketogenic jam (or preserve) on this list. It's because it tastes naturally fruity, is well sweetened, and tastes the most similar to regular jam (you may not even guess it's low carb). Additionally, it's a thicker jam that spreads well on bread or crackers. It also gets the highest-star rating on Amazon of any of the low carb jams and jellies on this list.
In terms of ingredients, it includes a minimal amount of xylitol as an alternative sweetener, which does include some carbs, but is still keto-friendly in smaller amounts. Because some of it is absorbed by the digestive tract, some people may get an upset stomach if they are sensitive to it or eat it in larger amounts. Please note: xylitol is toxic to pets, especially dogs.
Ingredients: water, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, xylitol, erythritol, pectin, xanthan gum, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and citric acid
Net carbs: one tablespoon is about 4.1 net carbs, using Paleo Foundation's guidelines for estimating net carbs for xylitol
Other flavors: wild blueberry, peach, raspberry, apricot
Amazon rating: 4.6 out of 5 total stars
|✔ Delicious: customers report it tastes naturally fruity and the most similar to regular jam or preserves.||✘ Ingredients include xylitol as an alternative sweetener, which does include some carbs, but is still keto-friendly in smaller amounts.|
|✔ Thicker consistency (not runny) that spreads well||✘ Not widely available|
|✔ GMO free, vegan and gluten free||✘ Somewhat expensive: $7 or $8 per jar|
ChocZero makes good-quality, sugar-free jams that are pretty tasty. The strawberry jam is sweet and fruity and thicker in consistency. It has a slightly artificial taste, likely due to the monkfruit extract, which you may not even notice if you're spreading on something. It's got a nice, thicker jam consistency, which is easy to spread. We also like that it's made with quality ingredients and is low in net carbs (1 gram net carb per tablespoon).
Ingredients: Strawberry (50%), Non-GMO Resistant Dextrin, Winter Melon, Water, Pectin, Chia Seeds, Monk Fruit Extract, Natural Strawberry Flavor, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate (to maintain freshness).
Net carbs: 1 gram net carb per tablespoon
Other flavors: grape, orange marmalade, raspberry
Amazon rating: 4.4 out of total stars

|✔ Low in net carbs (1 gram net carb)|
Good Good Jam has many positive aspects: it's tasty, low in net carbs and includes good, keto-friendly ingredients. In terms of of taste, it's our fourth favorite in this list and is almost as flavorful as Paloner sugar-free preserves (see below). There was a little runniness at the top of jar, but, overall, the consistency is decent. The sugar-free sweeteners in this jam are favorable as they include erythritol and stevia.
Ingredients: strawberry (58 percent), water, sweetener (erythritol, steviol glycosides), gelling agent (pectins), citric acid, concentrate (carrot, black current), preservatives (potassium sorbate), anti-oxidant (ascorbic acid).
Net carbs: one tablespoon is 1 net carb (4 grams of total carbs in which 3 grams are sugar alcohols)
Other flavors: raspberry, concord grape, apricot, forest fruits

Polaner sugar-free preserves is our third favorite jam (or preserve) in terms of taste (after ChocZero). We thought Polaner tasted slightly more artificial than Nature's Hollow — although it's rather minimal. Overall, it's still quite flavorful with a nice consistency.
We ranked this jam lower since the ingredients include maltodextrin, a highly-processed thickening agent and sweetener. Maltodextrin is not considered keto-friendly since comes from high-carb sources like potato and rice. That said, Polaner Strawberry Preserves is still low in carbs at only 2 net carbs per tablespoon. It's a tasty option for those on a low-carb or non-strict keto diet. If you’re on a strict keto diet, then you may want to pass it up.
Ingredients: water, strawberries, maltodextrin, polydextrose, citric acid, fruit pectin, locust bean gum, natural flavor, sucralose, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate, calcium chloride, red #40

Skinnygirl has a line of sugar-free preserves that are sugar free, fat free and low in calories. Overall, we thought the taste of the Skinnygirl raspberry bellini was tasty although somewhat tart. The consistency was decent with minimal runniness.
However, one of the ingredients includes maltodextrin, a highly-processed thickening agent and sweetener. Maltodextrin is not considered keto-friendly since comes from high-carb sources like potato, rice, tapioca and corn. That said, Skinnygirl Raspberry Bellini is still low in carbs at only 1 net carb per tablespoon. If you’re on a strict keto diet, then you may want to pass it up due to the maltodextrin.

If you're on a low-carb diet, you've probably heard of sugar-free Xyloburst chewing gum. But, Xyloburst also makes sugar-free jams, which use xylitol as a leading ingredient. Xyloburst jams are thicker in consistency and good for spreading on low-carb crackers or bread. We thought the raspberry flavor tasted somewhat fruity, but not much like raspberries. A few Amazon customers reported that the flavor wasn't "fruity" or didn't taste like regular jam.
The leading ingredient, xylitol (an alternative sweetener), does include some carbs, but is still keto-friendly in smaller amounts. Because some of it is absorbed by the digestive tract, some people may get an upset stomach if they are sensitive to it or eat it in larger amounts .Please note: xylitol is toxic to pets, especially dogs.
Ingredients: xylitol, raspberries, spring water, fruit pectin, citric acid
Net carbs: one tablespoon is about 4.75 net carbs, using Paleo Foundation's guidelines for estimating net carbs for xylitol

We we're hoping to like Walden Farm's strawberry fruit spread more than we did since it has no calories or carbs per serving. However, we weren't quite satisfied with the flavor or consistency of this fruit spread. We found it too artificially sweetened without enough natural fruit flavor (which is not entirely surprising since it's made with no actual fruit — simply fruit extracts and flavors). In terms of consistency, it was quite wobbly and slippery in the jar. But, when we put it on a low-carb cracker, it was difficult to break apart and spread. Although we didn't quite enjoy the flavor or consistency of the spread, it is keto-friendly and has zero carbs, which may make this spread attracting for some.
Ingredients: water, natural flavors, citric acid, gellan gum, fruit and vegetable juice for color, caramel color, carub gum, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate to preserve freshness, sodium citrate, xanthan gum, sucralose, beta carotene color.
Net carbs: zero net carbs with zero fiber
Other flavors: orange marmalade, blueberry, strawberry
Amazon rating: 3.7 out of 5 total starts
|✔ zero carbs||✘ Lacking natural fruit flavor; |
overly sweet, artificial flavor
|✔ No calories||✘ Odd consistency; more similar to Jello|
|✘ Somewhat expensive: $9 or $10 per jar|
Smucker's is a well-known brand of jam that you can find at most grocers, even the newer sugar-free versions. Compared to the other jams (or preserves) on this list, Smucker's sugar-free strawberry jam is blander and more jelly-ish in texture. We thought it tasted more artificial as well. That said, it got 4.4 stars on Amazon, which is pretty darn good.
One of the ingredients includes maltodextrin, a highly-processed thickening agent and sweetener. Maltodextrin is not considered keto-friendly since comes from high-carb sources like potato, rice, tapioca and corn. Smucker's sugar-free jam also has the highest net carbs on this list — 5 grams of net carbs per tablespoon. If you’re on a strict keto diet, then you may want to pass it up due to the maltodextrin.

Other flavors: orange marmalade, red raspberry, apricot, blackberry, concord grape, peach

|✔ Widely available||✘ Jelly-like texture|
|✔ Just 10 calories per serving||✘ Ingredients include maltodextrin |
which is not considered ketogenic
Although we love the simplicity of ingredients in this Chia Smash (just 4 natural ingredients), we didn't enjoy the taste of it. It doesn't taste similar to regular jam and is quite runny. It is naturally sweetened by dates, as opposed to other alternative sweeteners or sugars. However, we didn't find it sweet enough. Although the jam is thickened by chia seeds, it is still quite watery.
Ingredients: upcycled raspberries, organic date, organic chia seeds, organic lemon juice concentrate,
Net carbs: 1 tablespoon is 3 grams of net carbs (4 grams of total carbs in which 1 gram is fiber).
Other flavors: cherry pomegranate, raspberry, strawberry, and wild blueberry
Amazon rating: 3.9 out of 5 total starts
|✔ Made with 4 simple ingredients: raspberries, dates, chia seeds, lemon juice concentrate||✘ More flavorless and bland; lacking sweetness|
|✔ No added sugars or sugar-free sweeteners like stevia, sugar alcohols, etc.||✘ Consistency is runny and drippy|
|✔ Preservative free and made with upcycled and organic ingredients||✘ Expensive: $12 to $13 per jar|
