The Seattle area is our home, and we never tire of trying new restaurants. And when it comes to low-carb and keto-friendly restaurants, we have several favorites that we love to visit. Our list includes a variety of restaurants like seafood, Mexican, Japanese, Korean and Middle Eastern. Some restaurants like Asadero and the Walrus and the Carpenter, are typically included in Seattle's best restaurants, while others are local favorites including Tanoor (in Seattle & Sammamish) and Aahaar (in Snoqualmie).
We've included what we typically order, so you can see some of our favorite low-carb dishes. But, don't stop there, several of these places have more keto-friendly and low-carb dishes that you can consider.

Asadero Prime
If you love smoked meats, then this is the place to be! Asadero Prime is a Mexican steakhouse specializing in premium, mesquite-grilled meats. These high-end cuts of meat, like tenderloin and zabuton, are typically seasoned with simple spices and are cooked perfectly. Our favorite dishes include the Vacio Wagyu and La Carne Asada. The meats come with tortillas and/or rice, but you can replace those with low-in-carb veggies. Like many locals, we absolutely love this place. Asadero has restaurants in Ballard (Seattle) and Kent. The Ballard location typically has a wait so be sure to book ahead.

The Walrus and the Carpenter
No doubt, this is one of the best places for oysters in Seattle. And this quaint oyster bar and seafood restaurant is one of best restaurants in Seattle. Of course you can order an array of oysters from Washington, but there is so much more. You can get steak tartare, scallop crudo, grilled sardines, clams, local cheeses, and salads. All the dishes are excellent, but our favorite is the scallop crudo. They don't take reservations, so it's best to show up before opening at 4pm. Or, you can simply wait in line if you have the patience.

Aahar Indian Restaurant
Aahar is one of our favorite Indian restaurants in the Seattle area with a location in Snoqualmie. It serves multi-regional Indian food with a focus on Southern Indian cuisine. Specialty regional dishes include dosas, fish curries, biriyanis and Thali. We appreciate that they don't include sugar in a number of their dishes, particularly Chicken Tikka Masala (a must!). Some of our favorite dishes include the Kerala fried fish and palak paneer. Unfortunately, you can't get riced cauliflower (which is a hard find at most restaurants), but we'll sometimes bring our own or simply take home to eat. The restaurant is close to the famous Snoqualmie Falls, so if you're in the area be sure to check it out.

Japonessa
If you're looking for tasty sushi rolls that you can get without the rice and the carbs that go with it, then be sure to check out Japonessa in Bellevue. Japonessa is fusion Japanese restaurant with a Latin flair. You can find sushi rolls that include jalapenos, cilantro, lime or even mango. The fish is fresh and the sushi combinations are delicious. It's a popular restaurant in downtown Bellevue that usually has a wait, so be sure to book in advance. Of course you can always order sashimi for a low-carb and keto friendly dish, but there are also several maki rolls you can typically order without rice including Heat Stroke with no rice, Seattle Roll with no rice, and the Rainbow Roll with no rice.
Japonessa also has a location in Seattle, which we have yet to visit, but have been told they can accommodate some requests for no-rice sushi rolls.

Cost: Most roll combinations (typically made of 6 rolls) are in the $20 range.
Six Seven
Six Seven is an upscale hotel restaurant (at the Edgewater) with one of the best views in Seattle. With an amazing view of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains (if clear skies), it's a great date night or special occasion restaurant. Six Seven serves seasonally-inspired cuisine made with fresh, organic ingredients. The food is tasty and the restaurant typically accommodates low-carb and keto dietary requests by replacing carb-heavy sides with low-carb veggies or adjusting toppings as needed. Low-carb dishes include seared scallops, cedar planked salmon, roasted chicken and filet of beef. Just be sure to make reservation well in advance!

Meet Korean BBQ
Meet Korean BBQ is an upscale Korean barbecue restaurant located in Capitol Hill that serves premium cuts of meat like American wagyu and kurobuta pork. Chefs cook the meats to order on tabletop grills at each of the tables. The restaurant has a good selection of high-end meats that come with sauces, pickled vegetables and lettuce wraps (be sure to ask your server which sauces or sides contain sugar). Some of the marinated meats may also include sugar (again, ask your server), but you can order unmarinated cuts with simple seasoning. It's a fun place to enjoy high-end cuts of meats, but it is expensive.

Cost: Most 6- to 10-ounce cuts of beef are around $50. More expensive cuts of beef are $100.
Cafe Munir
Cafe Munir is quaint neighborhood restaurant in Ballard (Seattle) that serves tasty, authentic Lebanese food. You can find a variety of mezzes and grilled kabobs and there are several low-carb and keto-friendly options on the menu. Some of our favorite menu items include minced lamb with hummus (more low carb than keto), kamabeet mishwiyeh (grilled eggplant), shish taouk and lahem mishwi (grilled skewers). You can't go wrong with the grilled meets, which are simply seasoned with spices. When ordering mezzes, be sure to check with your server about low-carb options. Like other restaurants, you'll want to call ahead for reservations.

Cost: Mezzes range from $4 to $7 and grill dishes range from $9 to $15.
Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar
Taylor Shellfish farms high-quality shellfish and has several oyster bars in the Seattle area where you can suck up oysters, clams, mussels, geoduck and more. Taylor shellfish has been farming shellfish for a quite some time in the Pacific Northwest -- since the 1890s. At their oyster bars, you can order a number of tasty low-carb dishes including a variety of oysters, geoduck sashimi, dynamite clams, pesto and classic steamers, Cesar salad, olives and more. In Seattle, they have oyster bars in Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, and Pioneer Square. The seafood dishes are fresh, simplistic and delicious!

Dishes we like: It's been a few years since we've been there, but we do remember loving the oysters, clams and mussels.
Cost: Most oysters are $4 each and the smaller seafood dishes are $10 to $20. A whole crab is roughly $60.
