Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Joseph's Flax, Oat Bran & Whole Wheat Lavash (or preferred lavash bread)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Few pinches salt
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ¾ cup shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • warm marinara sauce for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a couple pinches of salt.
  • Place the lavash directly on the oven rack and brush the garlic butter evenly over the entire surface. Bake for about 2 minutes, or until it's lightly golden and just starting to crisp. (All ovens vary, so keep a close eye on it.)
  • Carefully remove the lavash from the oven and cut it in half widthwise. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over one half. Return the cheesy half to the oven and bake for about 2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. (Again, all ovens vary, so watch it closely.)
  • Place the remaining crispy half on top of the melted cheese to make a sandwich. Let rest for 1 minute. Cut into 6 breadsticks and serve warm with marinara sauce.
