Skip the tortilla or bread — simply melt cheese in the microwave to create these delicious, low-carb and keto sandwich wraps!

These microwave cheese sandwich wraps are easy cheesy! And who doesn't love crispy cheese wraps filled with your favorite sandwich fillings?!
You can also make these in the oven, but when you're short on time and can't wait for the oven to pre-heat, then the microwave is the way to go!
To make, simply melt some shredded cheese on parchment paper in the microwave for one minute. Remove and let cool about about 20 seconds and then add your favorite fillings.
We love filling our cheese wraps with different textures and flavors. Our favorite cheese wrap includes sliced turkey, romaine lettuce (for crunch), sliced avocado, diced jalapeño and spicy mustard. But, you can prepare however you like — that's the fun of it!
And since the wraps are low in carbs, you can eat more than one. They're a great pack-and-go lunch!
Ingredients

Ingredients include:
- Wrap = ¼ cup finely shredded Mexican-style cheese
- Plus, your favorite sandwich fillings. You can use any sort of deli meat, bacon, shredded rotisserie chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños, mustard, mayonnaise, sliced onions, etc.
How to Make
Step 1: Before making the cheese wrap, prepare sandwich fillings so they're ready to go. Place a piece of parchment paper on top of a large, microwave-safe dinner plate. Spread ¼ cup of shredded Mexican cheese into a uniform, thin layer (with minimal holes) that is circular in shape. It should measure about 4 or 5 inches wide.
Step 2: Heat in the microwave for 1 minute until cheese is bubbling and slightly toasted and hardened around the edges. If the edges are still soft and gooey, then microwave for 10 seconds more. Be careful not to overcook. If you overcook, it will turn brown and crispy, much like a chip as opposed to a wrap that you can roll.
Step 3: Remove from the oven and let it cool for 20 seconds. At that point, you should be able to peel the edges from the parchment paper. Quickly add your sandwich toppings and roll the wrap while still pliable. Then, cut the wrap in half with a knife and serve.

Excellent and easy! I added pepperoni on top when microwaving, then added toppings afterwards. Endless ideas. Never boring..
Oh that's a good idea, didn't think of that. Thanks for sharing!
Can it be added with mayonnaise?
Haven't tried, but I'd add after microwaving.
