These soft and sweet Keto Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies are so delicious and easy to make since they're made with just 4 ingredients!

These keto chocolate cake mix cookies are an ideal sweet treat when your craving chocolate! They're soft and sweet and full of chocolaty goodness! Plus, with just 4 ingredients, these cookies are a breeze to make.
And these cookies become even more yummy when you add sugar-free baking chips! We love adding sugar-free peanut butter chips (for a peanut butter cup vibe) or sugar-free semi-sweet chocolate chips (for a deep chocolate flavor), but you could also consider other flavors like salted caramel and white chocolate.
Any store-bought keto cake mix will work in this recipe, as long as it's one you enjoy. We use Good Dee's Keto Devil's Cake Mix, but you can use another cake mix of choice. You can also see our review of keto cake mixes here.

- 1 box of store-bought keto chocolate cake mix: Any store-bought keto cake mix will work in this recipe, as long as it's one you enjoy. We use Good Dee's Keto Devil's Cake Mix, but you can use another cake mix of choice. Be sure to check the cake mix ingredients and nutritional information to ensure you're agreeable with them (like sweeteners and flours used, net carbs, etc.). - ⅓ cup butter: Unsalted butter is best. Be sure to melt before mixing in batter.
- 2 eggs: We typically buy Vital Farms pastured-raised eggs for good, quality eggs. As Bon Appetit reports, the best eggs are organic, pasture raised, USDA A or AA and stamped with Certified Humane or Animal Welfare Approved seal.
- Sugar-free baking chips: These add a pop of flavor and are totally worth it! We love Lily's sugar-free peanut butter chips, but there are so many options to consider, like semi-sweet chocolate, sugar-free salted caramel, sugar-free white chocolate.
Step-by-Step Instructions
STEP 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a full cookie sheet with parchment paper or a baking mat.
STEP 2: In a large bowl, mix eggs, melted butter and chocolate cake mix until well combined. Stir in baking chips. Please note batter will be thick and sticky.
STEP 3: Using a cookie or ice cream scoop (these work best since cookie dough is thick and sticky), scoop 1- to 1.5-inch balls onto pan about 2 inches apart. You should be able to make 24 cookies.

STEP 4: Lightly flatten the cookie balls with the bottom of a flat glass. Bake in the oven for roughly 8 to 12 minutes, until chips are melty and cookies are set.

How to Store
Store cooled cookies in a closed container. Cookies are best if consumed within 3 to 4 days.

I haven’t tried the recipe because the ingredients you list as needed, are the SAME ingredients as shown on the cake mix box. Do we add BOTH what you list AND the same again as shown on the box?
No, not both. Simply follow this recipe's ingredients and directions. Not the box ingredients. Note that not all keto chocolate cake mixes call for the same ingredients. So only follow the recipe card and not the box. Good question as I could see that being confusing. I'll add a sentence about that. Thanks for reaching out!
