These low-carb pita chips are light and crispy and perfect for dips or spreads. All you need is Joseph's low-carb pitas, olive oil and seasoning. They bake in just 5 minutes.

Low carb pita chips served on a plate with baba ganoush in a side bowl.

We love how these low-carb pita chips turn out perfectly crisp after baking for just 5 minutes. And when you season them with garlic powder and kosher salt (and/or whatever seasonings you like), they're absolutely delicious!

Plus, you can dip them in just about anything — like guacamole, salsa, baba ganoush or moutabal, spinach dip and more. You can even serve with soft or sliced cheese.

To make these pita chips, we use our favorite low-carb pitas: Joseph's Flax, Oat Bran and Whole Wheat MINI Pita Bread. Each mini pita is 5 net carbs and makes a total of 16 pita chips. You can find Joseph's pitas at many grocers or on Amazon. Check out our review here.

Simply brush the pitas with seasoned olive oil (we season the oil with garlic powder) and lightly sprinkle with kosher salt before baking in the oven.

An easy-to-make afternoon or game day snack!

    Ingredients

    Ingredients in bowls and labeled.

Just a few simple ingredients for the pita chips!

    • Joseph's Flax, Oat Bran and Whole Wheat MINI Pita Bread: We love Joseph's mini pitas since they're tasty and so easy to stuff with lunch meats or other ingredients. Each mini pita is 5 net carbs and makes a total of 16 pita chips. You can find Joseph's pitas at many grocers or on Amazon. Check out our review here. You can also use they're regular-size pita bread (also flax, oat bran and whole wheat), which is 7 net carbs per pita.
    • Extra-virgin olive oil: Olive oil or avocado is used to help crisp up the chips in the oven.
    • Garlic powder: We love flavoring the chips with garlic powder but you can substitute or use other seasonings as desired. Other considerations include paprika, oregano, onion powder, and pepper.
    • Kosher salt: Just a little salt is needed to sprinkle over the top before baking.

    How to Make

STEP 1: Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut pitas into 8 wedges. Unfold each wedge and use a kitchen shear or knife to cut in half at folding point (this will create thin, crispy chips as opposed to denser ones).

STEP 3: Place chips on a baking sheet, keeping a little space between each. Lightly sprinkle with kosher salt. Bake in the oven for 5 or so minutes until crisp and golden. Check on them often as they can quickly burn. Serve immediately with your favorite dip.
