It's hard to get low-carb and keto chocolate chip cookies to taste just right. We've tried many different low-carb and keto chocolate chip cookies, and although most aren't too bad, we can't say we'd buy them again.
However, the HighKey Chocolate Chip Mini Cookies are our favorite so far. It’s because the cookies taste similar to regular, full-carb cookies. There is a bit of an aftertaste and cooling sensation from the sugar alternatives, but we think it's minimal. The cookies are also a little hard and crumbly, but we can forgive that due to the great taste.
The ingredients for the Chocolate Chip Mini Cookies are decent. They include: almond flour, natural sweetener (erythritol, monk fruit extract, mogroside v), chocolate chips (unsweetened chocolate, erythritol, cocoa butter, stevia extract, sunflower lecithin), coconut oil, butter, prebiotic fiber, dried eggs, vanilla extract, baking powder, hydrolyzed collagen, sea salt, xanthan gum, and guar gum.
For 6 mini cookies, there are only 2 net grams of carbs.
The HighKey Snickerdoodle Mini Cookies and Brownie Bites are good as well. We always make sure we have a pack of HighKey cookies on hand to satisfy our sweet tooth when needed.
Unfortunately, we haven’t seen this at any local stores or grocers, so we purchase via Amazon.
